IMAM JOHN STARLING

Imam John Starling is the founder of Hanbali Disciples.

He is an alumnus of NC State University's Poole College of Management and the Islamic University of Madinah’s College of Islamic Mission and Doctrine. He holds a Master’s Degree in Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Minnesota and a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy from Bay Path University.

Imam John has been granted numerous traditional ijāzahs with authorization to teach and narrate in the fields of Islamic Law, Creed (ʿAqīdah), and the Prophetic Biography (Sīrah). He is currently pursuing a PhD in ʿAqīdah with a focus on sulūk (spiritual wayfaring) at the College of Hanbali Law, a graduate division of the Islamic University of Minnesota.
