Hanafi Fiqh
This program is designed for students with basic fiqh knowledge, ready to explore intermediate to advanced Hanafi jurisprudence. Through live instruction and classical texts, you’ll gain clarity, confidence, and legal insight grounded in tradition.
Prerequisites:
- Familiarity with purification, prayer, and mandatory rituals (fard ‘ayn)
- Basic proficiency in Arabic grammar to parse classical texts
- Ongoing study of Arabic and foundational Hanafi fiqh (arkview.org, arkview.org)
Hanafi Fiqh Curriculum
Mukhtasar al-Quduri + supplement with Uqud Rasm al-Mufti and Fiqh Ahl al-Iraq
Nur al-Idah with Sharh Maraqi al-Falah (detailed ibadat rulings)
Classical commentary like Al-Lubab or Al-Ikhtiyar, plus Manar al-Anwar (usul al-fiqh)
Specialized rulings on topics like menstruation, fasting, inheritance (e.g., Al-Birgivi’s risalah)
In-depth study of Al-Hidayah, with additional advanced sharh like Sharh al-Wiqayah
Sh Imran Ahmed
Imran Ahmed has been privately studying the Islamic sciences part-time for well over a decade. He has an interest in many Shar'i disciplines, with a focus on Hanafi fiqh. He has studied texts in disciplines including Sarf (morphology), Nahw (syntax), Balaghah (eloquence), Al-'Arud (poetic meter), Mantiq (syllogistic logic), 'Aqidah (theology), 'Ulum al-Qur'an and Tafsir (exegesis of the Qur'an), Mustalah al-Hadith (Hadith terminology and methodology), Hadith collections, Fiqh (substantive law), Usul al-Fiqh (jurisprudential methodology). He is also interested in editing manuscripts (tahqiq al-makhtutat).
Some of the teachers he has studied with include Shaykh Samer al-Nass, Mufti Abdur Rahman Mangera, Shaykh Faraz Rabbani, Mufti Ismail Moosa, Shaykh Jihad Brown, Shaykh Haroon Hanif, and Shaykh Mohammed Daniel.
