Loving the Sunnah has always meant more than reading about it. The muhaddithin memorized his words ﷺ, recited them to their teachers, and learned to read every narration with care.
The Ibn al-Salah Track is designed to provide students with a structured foundation in Hadith terminology, selected Hadith memorization, and supplementary studies in the history and development of the Hadith tradition.
The Teacher
Shaykh Nuh Saunders
Shaykh Nuh made that journey. It took him from Philadelphia to Egypt, Tarim, Lebanon, Madinah, Jordan and Damascus, the city where Ibn al-Salah became the first teacher of the first school built for hadith alone. Now, teaching from Jordan, he brings that tradition to you, in your own language.
He is a native English speaker and teaches every class himself. His sessions are lively: he asks questions, calls on students and tells stories.
Memorization
Forty Mutawatir Hadith in Forty Weeks
The year is built on Al-Kawakib al-Zahirah fi al-Arba'in al-Mutawatirah. The mutawatir are the most firmly established hadith there are, narrated by so many in every generation that their transmission is certain. You memorize one hadith a week and study its sharh in detail in class.
Recital in class is a requirement. Each week you recite the hadith to your teacher, as students of hadith always have.

Three Classical Texts in Hadith Terminology
Alongside the weekly hadith, you study how scholars judge a narration: its chain, its narrators and its grade.
Additional Lessons
The Scholars Who Carried the Sunnah
These supplementary lessons will introduce students to the major scholars of Hadith and provide a historical overview of how the Prophetic Sunnah was transmitted, preserved, documented, and compiled across generations.

Tuition is $999 USD for the whole year. At the end of the year, you receive your ijazah from the teacher you recited to every week.
