The Method
From inherited belief to verified conviction.
Muslims today are not short of content. We are surrounded by claims: scientific, historical, political, therapeutic, and religious. Each arrives with a different amount of care behind it, and almost none of it teaches you how to tell which is which.
That is the gap this program was built for. It trains you in how belief is verified, how evidence is weighed, and how a mind can submit without switching itself off.
Reason and Revelation
The rational sciences are not a concession to doubt.
They are the disciplined form of what the QurŹ¾an asks of you: look at the world, see that it did not have to exist, understand what prophethood is, accept revelation, and stop mistaking imitation for knowledge.
Reason is not a rival authority sitting above revelation. It is how a person recognises that revelation is true, works out what it requires, and learns where a created mind reaches its limit.
The Five Pillars
What the program is built on.
Five commitments shape every course in the program. Each one is taken up in turn below.
Verification
Kalam and usul are called the two foundations.
Kalam and usul al-fiqh are called al-aslayn, the two roots. One shows why what we believe is true. The other shows why what we act on is valid. Between them they turn a creed you were handed into a creed you can account for.
In practice that means being able to state a doctrine, give its proof, say what the proof assumes, and tell the difference between something demonstrated and something merely persuasive.
Methodology and Integration
Every science has its place in one framework.
You watch the Sunni tradition work as one system. The same methods that settle a question about God's attributes also settle a question about how a ruling is derived, and you see the joins.
Creed, logic, usul and tasawwuf each have a place in that framework, and part of the training is learning where.
Ethics and Continuity
Knowledge that has to show up in your character.
None of this stays abstract. Every science lands somewhere in how a Muslim actually lives. Tasawwuf and adab are inside the curriculum, not bolted on afterwards, because rational training left on its own turns into vanity or harshness.
The Maghrib worked out how to teach this centuries ago: short texts learned by heart, then commentary, then public teaching and disciplined debate. Imam al-Sanusi's books carry a student from basic creed to sound judgement, and you can trace the chain of teachers who carried them from his hands to yours.
Inside a Lesson
How a single class actually runs.
Every class moves through the same five steps. Repeat them for a year and the method stops being something you were taught and becomes the way you think.
What This Is Not
This is not training to win arguments.
Most people meet the word kalam through an argument online. This is a structured course of study in the classical texts, taken in order, with a teacher.
These sciences were a living obligation for centuries. Studied properly, they let you sit with a hard question calmly, and disagree with order and adab when you need to.
What It Forms in You
Clarity without the polemics.
Level One is taught in English and begins September 2026. Arabic is helpful but not required to start it. Arabic will be required in the later levels, however.
